Was looking at 4k TVs and these two, for the price caught my eye. While without discounts they are both 800€ at the moment the samsung goes for 560€ and the philips 680€. I am not dead set on getting a new tv still on the fence because of OLED/Quantum Dot etc... Just wondering what you guys think about them I am mostly interested in which one has the better picture. Ambilight/smartTV/gimmicky features are a bonus not a a deal breaker.

having trouble finding english links (must be a EU thing) but ill link what i have found.

You're asking him to wait like 4-6 months..

I've never been a fan of Philips to begin with, Samsung has better reputation in the TV-department too.

Samsung looks better IMO.

end of the year products start getting released thus retailers need shelf space so sales are better and managers are more flexible in prices.

So basically Christmas sales?

i though it had something to do with the creators update.
