Go to solution Solved by Armakar,

You seem to be confused. You can't pick exactly how much VRAM you want, the cards come with a set amount.

You can't have a 3GB 1050 or 1050Ti, you can't have a 4GB 1060, they come set.

The 1050 is 2GB, the 1050Ti is 4GB, the 1060 comes in 3GB and 6GB variants, 1070 and 1080 come in 8GB, 1080Ti is 11GB and Titans come in 12GB.

I'd reccomend either a 1060 6GB, 1070 or an RX 580 (8GB version). All those cards are killing it at 1080p at the minute and will do for some time.

so i am going to buy a graphics card soon, the gtx 1050 ti but which vram should i buy 2gb, 3gb, 4gb or more cuz i play almost every games ALMOST EVERY GAME!!! and my processor is intel's core i7 kabylake 7700 (not overclocking) and another thing which vram will last for at least 3 to 4 years. i need help plz???????

4gb is like the minimum for high end games these days, something that will last 3-4 years, I'd say at least 6gb if you want to play high end games...then again I don't run a lot of games at low settings these days so I may be a bit off the mark

3-4 years? Not going to happen.

The 1050Ti is too slow for that regardless how much VRAM you throw at it.

Save up for a 1060 6GB or RX 570-580 8GB if you want to be at least somewhat future-proof.

Depending where you live RX 470-480-570-580's can be bought cheap on 2nd hand websites because a lot of miners are selling them for even as low as 180-200 bucks.

VRAM doesn't mean anything if the GPU isn't fast enough to process it. If you want a GPU to keep for 3-4 years to play high-end games a 1050Ti won't cut it (a 7700 will be fine)

I'd say minimum a 1060 / RX580 if you want a gpu for the next few years.

4GB is where you should be at for 1080p gaming at the moment.

VRAM primarily affects how much texture detail you can have, while secondarily it affects the maximum resolution of things being rendered at (not just the game's resolution, but shadows and other things as well).

I own a Gigabyte windforce OC edition 1060 6gb DDR5.   I would recommend something similar!

1060 only exist in 3GB and 6GB, i would get the 6GB if you can and it's not too expensive but with the mining craze prices might be stupidly high...

You seem to be confused. You can't pick exactly how much VRAM you want, the cards come with a set amount.

You can't have a 3GB 1050 or 1050Ti, you can't have a 4GB 1060, they come set.

I'd reccomend either a 1060 6GB, 1070 or an RX 580 (8GB version). All those cards are killing it at 1080p at the minute and will do for some time.
