Is my harddisk dead?

Could be that the "restore" already began and killed the OS.

Main System:

Anghammarad : Asrock Taichi x570, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @4900 MHz. 32 GB DDR4 3600, some NVME SSDs, Gainward Phoenix RTX 3070TI

 

System 2 "Igluna" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

System 3 "Inskah" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

you got a installation media at hand? DVD? USB?

 

if not, grab a 8 gig thumb drive, head over to a friend and create a windows 10 installation drive... you can download the media installer from MS... yep around 4.5 gb will be downloaded, but then in the end you have a installation media on a thumb drive...

How many drives you have? If you have more than two then it could have tried to boot from the wrong drive. Try boot with the right one through the BIOS.

 

If that's not the case, then I think that you have deleted/it doesn't come with any recovery backup, and the recovery system is so dumb that it deleted everything in your hard drive first, and decided to not give a [s_word] and try booting from an empty drive.
