new dirty cpu

I just bought a brand new ryzen 5 1600 from amazon. The IHS on the cpu was slightly dirty with some small brown streaks being the best way to describe them. A quick clean with some isopropyl alcohol left it looking pristine however. The box was sealed etc. and so the dirty top was my only cause for concern. Is this normal or could it be a rebox? is it worth demanding an exchange?

Sounds like the paste oxidized, nothing to worry about.

it might be a little residue from the punch that made the shape of the IHS, as long as you can wipe it off i doubt it would affect you at all,.
