microsoft basic display adapter

after i reset my pc it has been saying my gpu is a microsoft basic display adapter and i lag an obscene amount in games i have tried following all online instructions and updated everything but it just aint working any help?

So you have a notebook?

Go to the notebook manufacturer website or to AMD website and download the correct driver.

nope its a normal pc just completely trash gpu

Isn't the 8000 series mobile GPUs?

Microsoft Basic Adapter is Windows GIVING a display WITHOUT a Driver.

 

The GPU is driverless right now, so Windows uses a Basic driver for it to output a display for you in the meantime...

 

 

You DO however, need AMD drivers to fix this and get your performance back.

If you did this already, it didnt work, or you chose the wrong drivers and they did not install.
