USB peripherals not working during win7 install

Hi all.

So as the topics title describes i have a little trouble installing win7(no, i wont touch win10) on a x370 MSI MB. The tool from MSI just throws an error. Then tried dism and NTLite(and all possible combination of USB legacy mode and XHCI handoff in BIOS) but no success. I even tried to integrate all the drivers from the chipset driver installer, but the result was the same. Not even the 2 USB 2.0 ports on the back panel will work(they are connected to the chipset) even though they work perfectly fine in BIOS. I run out of ideas here, what could i missing here?

Well i hope someone will have an idea what i forgot to do or something that i hadnt tried....

I could be wrong - but this could be due to the fact that Microsoft have announced that only Windows 10 (so not 7/8.1) will be compatible with Ryzen/Kaby Lake CPUs.

This could be a totally unrelated issue but I hope I helped. You may want to switch to Windows 10 if that's possible.

Also, if you can use another computer you could just plug the ssd/hdd along with the USB installer and install it on using that PC, then move it back to the PC you are having issues with.

Its total and utter BS, so much that win7 performed better on ryzen than win10. Top t off AMD released win7 drivers for the new chipsets. Plus CPU's do not have drivers. The worse that could happen is the OS wont use some instructions but aside from that it will run just fine.
