So I used to play around with Blender for about a year.

But I was absolute shit at it and I focused on too much useless crap about the program and focused on other things of the program that I shouldn't have as a beginner, now that drove me away from 3D modeling all together but I love creating stuff and imagining stuff out of thin air and shit, it's just awesome! I want to get back into 3D modeling things like cars, buildings, hard surface modeling, etc. (not much into organic modeling yet, it's cool but the sculpting is way over my head atm)

So I want to start from scratch and get back into 3D Modeling, I don't mind having the extra features (animation,post-Process, etc) but I want to focus on getting good at 3D modeling and creating a good looking scene with lighting etc.

Any Tips or suggested programs to start again or books to read? I'm looking for an answer from people that actually know what they are talking about, Not something Like "try blender, or Maya or what ever" looking for tips from actual people that have a good understanding of everything. Thank you!
