Custom Refresh Rate

Hey guys I was just wondering if the refresh rate of a monitor fixed or it can be custom between the max and the lowest? for ex: I have a 240hz monitor can I use 200hz only in CSGO? set the game to run 200hz and set the monitor to run 240hz

Set a custom resolution using the NVIDIA control panel or AMD settings.

The game would run at 200fps not 200Hz.

Hz is used to describe displays.

He's not talking about changing the monitor's refresh rate, just the game fps.

Im using AMD I've created a resolution but how do I use it? do I just change it in-game or through windows?

Well if you want to keep the monitor running at 240 Hz while limiting the game to 200 fps, you would just do that using the game's built-in fps limiting command, not with custom resolutions. I misunderstood your first post.

You change your game fps in the game's settings.
