What happens if it doesn't get funded?

 Looks really cool to me and would back it right now except like what happens if it doesnt get funded (It wont) Its only at like 4 percent of its goal

It does. And boy, it'd be fun to be insanely rich. Then you could just drop 50K on this project, and he'd have all his backing and be able to make them. It'd be awesome! After I bought every awesome PC part I could think of, I'd probs just back people to get their business ideas off the ground. Is there any way I could inherit Apple, Google, or Microsoft?

Nah but well become the next Apple and microsoft. Well both own rival companies and rule the world :b Then Dexxterlab would become like amazon and rule us and start forcing everyone to play Life is Strange and create implants that make us act like its happening in real life. I dont know wtf I am saying tbh

He probs would. Though I'd already have created a portal to Star Wars, and I'd jump in there and be the next Boba Fett. Or a light side force user. I wouldn't take over the world though, I'd just fight bad guys all day long. And do my best to make witty remarks. And try not to shoot people when they laugh at me. I'm not surprised it can't make the money.

 

You can easily use a  laser engraving / cutting machine (< 200$) to cut thin sheets of wood and stack them one on top of each other and glue them together to make the shapes this guy currently makes out of uglier plastic. Then you can use varnish or various paints to make the wood nice and shiny and you can polish the edges to make the wood look pro and so on.

 

Some hardware (like the things that hold the plastic/glass side panels) are also readily available commercially.

I also don't see him using borrowed screws or hidden spacer/nuts so that you'd screw fans directly into the panels without screws visible, i don't see rubber things to lower vibrations and noise.

 

The plastic bits are horrible. For example, at the rectangle where the ports of the motherboard come out, he could easily machine two pieces of aluminum one on the outside and one on the inside and use some thin m2/m3  screws to hold them together with wood between them and you'd get a nice shiny rectangle for your motherboard.

 

It's just half-thought idea.

But with the money he asks he can rent or purchase a higher end machine to create parts out of aluminum blocks or whatever, and make the parts himself instead of giving people the cad drawings and hoping the people have the plastic 3d printers to make the parts. (so you not only pay for the designs, you also spend money on the plastic material to create the parts)

 

He's basically making ikea for computer cases but without even giving the parts?
