I've never tried to benchmark the 2 but I certainly don't notice any difference in user experience switching between my 1700 and an Intel machine with RST.

Fair enough, it's just i've never really used anything amd so i'd be inclined to stick with what I know, but if there really isn't much difference, i guess it can't hurt to try.
