Type 4 cables and extentions

Hi, I'm just wondering if by using my Cablemod custom cable extensions if I'm giving up the advantages of better power delivery that the Type 4 cables with built in capacitors on my HX750 are supposedly giving me?

 

(really I don't understand the power side of PC building at all so please enlighten me, for all I know this could be a futuire Sh!t Manufactures Say topic)

@DELTAprime if you were running extensions, you are just doing an extension of the existing cable so you wouldn't be losing anything. Our replacement cables for your PSU also include the capacitors as per Corsair's Type 4 design.

Hello there! So, the capacitors are supposed to be as close to the components as possible, to provide the very best power delivery. The further away it is, there's a slight drop in performance. For 99% of the users out there, this shouldn't be an issue. It will still function normally, but with a slight drop in performance... Probably around 3% performance decrease, but in the long run, this won't hurt you.
