stuttering in 1440p resolution

I have recently bought an ACER XR341CK monitor. When I play games at 1080p, games do not stutter but some games like Tekken 7 is not smooth at 1440p and stutters sometimes. Half the time it's smooth, half the time it's not. I have gtx 1060 but the fps is locked at 60 fps. In games like DOOM when I get more than 60 fps it feels like stuttering. I have tried changing the refresh rates from 75Hz to 85Hz etc. but the problem still persists.

Is it a 1060 3gb?

Does using vsync help?

My problem is solved. When I changed to HDMI, the problem got eliminated. So, there must be something bad with DP cable.
