I cant stream Overwatch with my ASUS Strix Geforce GTX 970 i just got. Do anyone know anything about this problems? I am using OBS Studio with NVENC to stream with and streaming in 720p 60fps and 6 mbit/s. Please help me! (In a older version of OBS Studio it work fine with AMD Framework something and a ASUS Radeon R9 290X it worked fine)

I'll have to wait till i get home from work to look into the OBS options, but GPU shouldn't have an effect on your stream beside FPS in-game. If you've recently re-installed OBS, double check your stream key is setup and correct. Also go into your settings and check to see which display adapter (Graphics Card) is enabled.

Check what bitrate you're using. Even if you have 6mbit/s upload, and you're uploading at that speed, some people may not be able to even download at that speed. Let me rephrase that/explain that part a little:

If you have a download speed of 4 mbit/s and upload of 6mbit/s, your download is slower than your upload. If you are uploading your stream at a rate fast than your or your viewers can download, there is a chance that they won't be able to see the stream at all or may suffer issues viewing it. Personally I stream at 720p at 30fps (60 isn't needed unless you're playing shooters and have the extra network headroom). I use 1900 as my bitrate for this. This allows anyone who is only capable of 2Mb/s download to still view the stream

EDIT: Yes also check your CPU usage and check your encoder rate in the options, this determines how much extra rendering and processing your CPU will do.

Also try recording with recording quality set to "same as stream". This way you can do some test recordings to see how your stream may turn out before actually streaming to the web. This can also help determine if you are having issues with your recording side of it or network side.

ok but as i said in the title i streaming Overwatch and thats a shooter and 2,5 mbit/s look grose in that

Gotcha, well 2.5 mb/s will look bad at 60fps, try it at 30 and see how you like it in a test recording. If you don't, then maybe 60 fps will require higher bitrate, but remember what I said about viewers with various download speeds (especially on mobile devices).

I bet the problem is with software, not hardware.

I agree, I think it's a setting somewhere that needs to change

Hi again! Now i am going to test another software. I am going to start with XSplit.

Any luck with setting changes on OBS? It's worth it to figure it out, you can do a lot with the software. However, if things still aren't working XSplit is a great choice. Let us know how it goes and if Xsplit fixes your problem. You can PM me also.

Ok. So here is the state right now. If you want to see my stream now you can just go to https://twitch.tv/thacheesebun/ (As i living in sweden, i talk swedish). I followed a guide on internet that said that i should try to use Task manager to customize which cores it should use. Then i set OBS to use core 0,1,6 and 7 (i have a 8 core cpu) and Overwatch to use 2,3,4 and 5. I know that every time i restart, shutdown or do anything that closes the program, it is going to reset the settings. I am just going to do a command that executes when i start OBS and Overwatch.

Anyway, thanks soooo much for all help i got. My streaming settings for overwatch is now: 720p@30fps 3000 bit/s (3 mbit/s). My internet speed can handle 1080p@60fps 6mbit/s but this is working best for Overwatch (i got 100 mbit/s upload and 100 mbit/s download)

Thanks again, and Bye!
