New CPU and Mobo Reccomendations

Hi everyone I think is time I upgrade my CPU and Mobo which are a little bit old and not that good.
My PC Specs at the moment are
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0 AM3+
CPU: AMD FX 8120 @3.8 Ghz 
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance @1600Mhz 
GPU: AMD RX 480
PSU: EVGA BQ 650watts
I'm looking for an i5 probably and a decent ddr4 motherboard any suggestions are welcomed, my budget is around $350-$400

I would get R5 instead of an i5, much better. A 1600 and a B350 motherboard wound work well. 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

What about a Ryzen 5 1600 With an ASUS Prime B350 Plus.

Its pretty nice and im also rocking this combo.

Ryzen 5 1600 Stock

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I watched a few videos and I'll probably get that. I didn't knew that R5 CPU's where that good.
