Overheating

I woke up about 20 minutes ago for some reason (midnight now) and realized that my galaxy s6 was seriously hot while it was charging. I was unable to touch it at all, mad nearly burned myself the first time I tried to pick it up. After unplugging the charger, I saw that it had only charged about 20% over a three hour period. I have always charged my phone overnight, but usually I use the iPhone charger as I feel its 1amp output is more suitable for longer charging sessions than the 2.4amp Samsung charger. I've had issues with it hearing up before, but I have never experience these kinds of temperatures, I'm pretty sure the phone was just minutes away from catching fire. I was using YouTube while it was charging, as I like to call asleep listening to WAN or Kyle and Paul's "Awesome Hardware". However creepy that might sound, I've done that for about as long as I can remember with this phone (bought it almost 2 yrs ago) and I've never had it burn me on the glass part before...

Anyone have any input or experience with either this phone or others with similar problems?

try a new charger. if not its your phone. its trying to stop the current, and getting hot.

I agree, the iPhone charger may be causing the issue if OP was using it.
