Ok so, I've been rocking the same PC for about 7 years now, though I have upgraded several parts over the years (i.e. the hard drive, RAM, video card) but it is starting to show it's age by now so I've been meaning to upgrade for some time now but never really took the leap because I really wanted a GTX 1080 or 1070, because reasons, but never really could justify the expense. Anyways, my girlfriend just gifted me a GTX 1080 so I've decided, it's time. So I hopped over to PC Part Picker and came up with, what I believe to be, a decent build and I'm looking for some feedback.

I don't really care about RGB or water cooling so it's not included. The case is also mostly a non issue and I'm open to suggestions, but I would prefer it being white so as to keep my girlfriend happy and so it matches our apartment but black is also an acceptable color. I figure the power supply is mostly overkill, again, open to suggestions but I would like a modular PSU (I'm a bit of a cable management wh0r3). To be honest I know next to nothing about motherboards so to be honest I just grabbed one I kept seeing repeated on several build guide so some advice would be appreciated. Ditto for RAM only I just grabbed whatever was cheapest @ 16gbs so advice would be appreciated.

I plan on keeping the same drives I have right now (an Samsung SSD and a WD red drive for storage) the M.2 drive in the list is mostly if I feel like spending the extra cash not really a requirement.

If you have a GTX 1080, at least get a 144Hz 1080p monitor or 4K/1440p monitor.

Dude, you don't need a 200$ motherboard.

Get a modular power supply and you're good. Also, I don't know about a TN display

yeah like I said, I know next to nothing about motherboards and RAM. Also, I forgot to mention, I already have a 144 monitor I plan on keeping that my friend sold to me because he got an ultrawide one.
