normally laptops have a windows license sticker somewhere, like one of these:

otherwise, there's ways to extract it from the OS.

 

EDIT: oh, and with windows 10, once it has been installed on the laptop, it'll reactivate itself.

in windows 10 it knows the hardware and can reactivate, older laptops with win 7/8 have a sticker on them.
