Computer is acting up

I built my computer a few months ago and now I ran into a problem. Sometimes when I turn my computer on all I get is a black screen. It doesn't load and often I have to keep shutting it down until it finally decides to work. I have all the drivers installed and I have made sure all the hardware works. I have no overclocked. The system does not even post when this happens. Please help I spent a lot of good money on the machine and would like to be able to enjoy it.

DDU, see if you on the latest GPU driver revision.

Try reinstalling windows and while you are at it reformat your drives.

I'd check if it's even posting first before you start mucking about with reinstalling drivers, or Windows. If it doesn't post, Windows ain't the problem. If it does, then you need to try and figure out how far it's getting. If you can get into the bios, or if it boots completely just without video.

It does not post when I turn it on sometimes I just get a black screen. It doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes I have to restart it multiple times before it works.

I had a similar thing happen on an old PC of mine when the PSU was failing. That'd probably be the first place I'd check. I mean, if it starts up eventually, everything is obviously working.

if you're not getting any error beeps, and nothing but a black screen, then windows and drivers are not the issue.  I agree with Sage, could be psu related.  Try to find a friend with a spare to borrow, see if that fixes the problem.
