Hi guys!

 

so my problem is that i cannot use both of my ram sticks on my motherboard and i found out that the one closest to the cpu wont let the pc start. Both ram sticks are good and i brought back the motherboard to the shop that i got it from then they tested the motherboard with my ram sticks and a different cpu and it worked. Anyway i am using a g620 cpu that is used for a about 3 years then it had an accident were its previous motherboard got fried is it possible that i have a faulty cpu? or there is something else wrong?

 

PC specs:

intel g620

kingston 2x4gb ram

Maxsun h61 motherboard

500gb hdd

GTS 450 gpu

It's old enough for anything to go wrong. Can you check the mobo RAM slots with another CPU?

Oops I read that as "test ram with different mobo and cpu". How dumb is that.

It could be. Just a failed contact point can result in something not function properly.
