Installing Led's

Swegly
Go to solution Solved by lerner12882,

I'm sorry but i face-palmed most modern PSUs will come with around 6 molex connecters i believe yours does you just buy an LED strip / cathode that is specified for PCs and you just plug them in and put them in any section you want to inside your case :P

How would I install Led's to my gaming rig without soldering, screwing, or opening anything. I would just like to know if its possible to plug an led strip into my PSU (corsair tx650) and if so what would be the best quality RED leds to go with. I had these in mind but i dont know if they would work http://www.amazon.com/Truck-Flexible-Waterproof-Light-Strip/dp/B009GU55UA/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1385479370&sr=8-4&keywords=red+led+strip+for+pc

Throw them at your case and wait for the lightning god to make them work?

No, but seriously  :P. I would look into some computer specific LEDS. Usually they connect with molex power, which your PSU (assuming it's decent quality with unused cables) will easily support. Try browsing here [not the first few things, those are splitter PCBs, scroll down].

Technically, you would have to un-screw stuff to get the LEDs into your PSU. But if you really wanted to go without soldering, your best bet would be to find something that connects via molex.

No problem http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=LED+strips&N=-1&isNodeId=1

there is a link for various LED Strips etc. if they say 1x 4pin peripheral connector that is Molex.

Phobya and BixFenix make nice LED strips with and adhesive and a 4pin Molex, which should solve all your issues ^^
