Hi all, I have 3 Corsair AF140 fans (non pwm) connected to the fan hub which is connected to the cpu-opt header.

I have read that whatever settings for the cpu-fan header you make in the bios is mirrored on the cpu-opt header. Is that correct?

Also, can I configure the corsair fans via the hub even though they are not pwm?

thanks for any advice.

btw, the other fan headers on the mobo are being used by my pwm fans.

The cpu_opt header may or may not have its own settings apart from the cpu_header depending on the motherboard.

Yes, you can use the fan hub for your AF140's. It's a hub that takes a 4pin pwm signal and outputs a pwm signal that works for 2-3pin fans.

Great, thanks for the info. The mobo is an Asus z170 Pro Gaming. Will try to find out about any differences between the two CPU fan headers.

You can go into the motherboard settings to see if there are separate fan control profiles for each header.

Also, in the bios when I use qfan, the CPU-opt header is not listed, so that suggests it does not have its own settings
