audio jack spliiter doesnt work

okay so i bought the asus rog cerbereus gaming headset, and it came with an audio jack splitter but the problem is that when i plug my audio jack splitter in my pc, it wont let the mic work and i can only hear thru one side

Sounds like a defective unit, its unlikely you had a warranty on it. but you much want check if anything is in the audio jack

can i spray compressed air in it ?

the audio jack splitter is for audio only

it has different tip and ring setup up then a headset does

typically 3 "tips" on left right headphones (third tip is ground or audio return)

audio return can be mic path but needs resistor between shared spkr ground and mic as spkr signal wires need resistor between them and mic

i sought that would work like, don't do that. get a flash light and see if theres and dirt or debris in the jack

see the black ring seperates it from the silver rings?

silver on single plug are probably audio and ground with mic and ground so 4 rings

now see how mic and the speakers plug both have 3 rings

both have left right and ground ring
