Why do you use a TV as a monitor in the first place? I find it rather hard to play with my TV in front of me unless I sit on the couch.

My stuff:

Headset : Beyerdynamics DT990 Pro 250Ω w/ AT2020USB+

Monitor : Acer XF240H @  144Hz

I'm going to buy a monitor, but I don't quite have the money yet. The solution that i'm looking for is going to be a temporary one until I get my new monitor

Does turning down any of the graphic quality settings make any difference? If you have a different available video interface on your TV (ex., mine has VGA and HDMI) does switching to a different input or input type make any difference?

My GPU has HDMI, DisplayPort, and DVI. My TV has HDMI, VGA, and RCA. I can only use HDMI, because that's the only relation that the 2 have. I don't own an adapter.

Are you outputting the same resolution with Skyrim as you are the other example games?  Also, did turning down graphic options such as MSAA/TSAA, texture quality, etc. generate any improved latency?

Does your TV have a game mode on the very slim chance activating that will improve the speed?

Changing video settings does nothing
