Why does everyone recommend the steam version of XOC? Auto updates? Wouldn't you have to have steam open if you want your GPU overclocked?

  • Cooler = Corsair H100i
  • RAM = Dominator Platinum 32GB DDR4-2666
  • Storage = Samsung 850 Pro 1TB
  • GPU = EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW3
  • PSU = Corsair 750D
  • PSU = Corsair 1000W
  • Monitor = Asus PG278Q

You would have to go to EVGA's site, log in, and get the update yourself. Which is annoying if you're the kind of person who feels they need to update to the latest and greatest.

Keeps the stupid steam pops ups from coming up for all of your friends though. Also issues joining off friends as you will be in it like a game. I go to their site and keep login info saved.
