You just had to choose two super CPU bound games lol. Well... Right now is not exactly the time to buy a GPU due to miners artificially raising the prices on cards, so I would go ahead and buy the Ryzen motherboard, 3200mhz or 3000mhz RAM, and the 1600... Then sporadically when you find good deals get your PSU, case you like, accessories... Etc. Pretty much slowly get the parts you need to build a system, and get the GPU last. Probably in a few weeks or so. When the prices come back to reality.

Edit: Something like this with a used 980 TI for around $280-$310.

- I'd highly recommend a 1600 instead of that 1500X, even if you need to go mATX to offset the cost.

- there's no way in hell you're finding a 980Ti for $300 on craigslist. maybe $400.

I bought my Strix 980 TI in perfect condition off Ebay for $293 just a few weeks ago...

Same, in my build I recommended a 1600 as well.

well, that was before the fire nation attacked mining craze started to affect NVidia GPUs. you can't find a 1070 for lower than $450 anywhere.

Have the prices gone up that much? I got an extremely well taken care of MSI Gaming 980 Ti 6G off CL for $300 USD a month ago.

So the lack of 1070s is effecting 980 Tis now? And then miners wonder why we get a bit cranky?

well, yeah.

if nobody can buy 1070s, then they will divert to buying 980Tis, since they're comparable in performance.

miners don't want the 980Tis since they take lots of power, so the shortage is less, but all the gamers buy them since the miners took all the 1070s.
