Hey Guys

I am planning to get the I7-7700k and I've heard it runs very hot.

This is my build atm.

Will that air cooler be enough if I want to overclock that CPU to 5ghz?

Please if not leave recommendations to water coolers

Thanks:)

The problem with i7 7700k thermals isn't with the cooler.

The problem is inside the CPU. Intel used too much adhesive (black glue to hold IHS to the CPU PCB). And because there is so much adhesive, CPU core die can't directly touch to IHS.

You could be lucky and get i7 7700k that isn't so bad, and you will run it at 5GHz at max 85°C.

or you could also get i7 7700k that will have 85°C on stock even if you water cool it.

Deliding is something you should be looking forward to.

I'm not really into messing with the processor like that but is water cooling the best way to minimise the temps? Also planning to buy 3 extra fans to provide better airflow throughout.

airflow doesn't really matter just the fans that are directly on your heatsink are the ones that really make a  difference and the size of said heat sink
