So I recently bought new ram F4-3000C14D-16GVK (model number) previously using CMK8GX4M2A2400C14 issue i've found out now is that in my bios its reading the right amount of memory (16gb) but reading the old timings and mhz of old ram (2133mhz) instead of (3000mhz) Don't know much about bios so i don't want to start screwing around in it. 

MOBO: Asus Z170-A

OS: windows 10 64

PSU: Rm1000

GPU: Strix 1080ti

CPU: i7 6700k

RAM: Shown above 

and just incase you need to know bios is 0404

Did you turn XMP on? It will be set to 2133 by default otherwise. 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Most bioses will show a few different xmp profiles ti choose from built into your memory modules. Can you show us what profile is selected and any other info about that profile.

@Relicke You're watching the DRAM status. You first have to reboot with XMP profile enabled and then when you come to the BIOS it'll show in the status page that the speed is 3000MHz (if everything goes well)
