@DocSwag  Here are some nice comparisons from puget systems (absolute top end)  Nothing on r7 but we can safely say my 1700 hangs out around a 6900k, ie about  30% better renders but 15-20% worse at just about everything else.  For me it was worthwhile, obviously every use case will be different though.
