hey guys. im going to be converting my evga gtx 1070 to a hybrid card soon. under load, my card has noticeable coil whine. to the point i can almost hear it with headphones on. ive heard that using a small amount of silicone can help dampen the vibration of the inductors, in return, lowering the coil whine. my question to you is, what kind of silicone should i use. i would like it to be somewhat easily removable in case i ever need to RMA my card. i have to take apart my card anyways so i figured i would give it a shot. thanks for any feedback.

If it is really that loud, maybe you can try a RMA.

All modern GPU's have solid or potted chokes (could) to help prevent whining but it can still occur at times. There isn't much physically that can be done to eliminate it.
