ASUS STRIX 1070 OC help?

Hey guys, im looking to overclock my GTX 1070 Strix card but i think i must be doing it wrong as any possible change sees the card being unstable. could anyone please assist me in overclocking my card?

I have msi afterburner. i was using a 50 core offset and 200 memory offset before i set it to stock.

What are you testing it with? What temps? Is power draw maxing out?

Eugine Valley. Temps and power draw i cannot determine as the overclocks i tried to do was so long ago.

Thanks. 

overclocking is unstable when temps are too high, frequencies are set too high, or voltages are too low. If you wish to maintain stability you must change your parameters.
 

Here is the basic TL;DR of all overcllocking: In order for your frequency to get higher you must increase your voltage. if you're unable to increase your voltage then you must reduce your temperatures. If you're unable to reduce your temperatures or increase your voltage then you must decrease your frequency (from whatever it is currently set) if you wish to maintain stability.
