Hey,

So looks like I may have screwed something up.  When I put together my new build yesterday, I bought an SSD, moved windows 10 over to that using the tool provided by Microsoft, and then used DBAN to wipe my HDD completely to start fresh and use it as a storage drive.

Now, my HDD is plugged into my PC properly.  However, it's not showing up in Windows File Explorer.  My guess is that I don't think it's detecting properly.  When I went into the BIOS, I can't add it to the boot sequence.  However, I can use boot override to access it.  So it looks like it's detecting it.

What's the issue here and how can I fix this?

If you DBAN'd it then it has no data on it so you can't boot from it. As long as it shows up in the list of connected HDDs in the BIOS it should be good to go if you just go to Disk Management and initialize/format the HDD.

disk manager -> format it to NTFS.

If you erased it then it probably just deleted the partition. Find disk manager and just reformat it to NTFS or exFAT

All it's letting me do is 'Convert to Dynamic Disk' or 'Convert to MBR Disk'.  Maybe I'm just dumb?
