Cleaning red dye

So I bought me a new water block for my CPU since my original one I broke by over tightening the fittings. I have been running water through the pump and radiator to clean them out as they have been sitting for 6+ months. Still seeing a red tint to the water from my old loop with maybe red pastel. I plan on going straight distilled water with some ek coolant additive to it for biocide.

My question to you guys, what is your best or favorite way to remove this? Give me some ideas as I plan on reassembling my loop on Wednesday or Thursday.

For cleaning the loop, your going to want to toss any soft tubing and replace it, for blocks they will need to be taken apart to be scrubbed clean. The rads are going to need to be flush out really well, so I would suggest to start with a vingear solution to etch and clean out as much as possible and giving it a good number of flushes, repeating this a couple of times should be able to remove most of the red coloring in the old rads.

Thanks. The block is brand new and I am replacing the tubing. I thought about vingear just wasn't sure if it was good for a loop due to its acidic nature.

It not a problem with the copper rads and such as it will clean/etch an extremely thin layer of material and mostly gunk that is stuck to it. There are also options such as Mayhems blitz which use a mild phosphoric acid to etch and clean out the rads.

Just be sure to flush it out really well afterwards, a good option is to use a baking soda solution to ensure it neutralizes all the acid and to flush anything else remaining inside.
