Hello

I am looking at part now for a few weeks/months. I asked a similar question before but here we go.

Someone suggested this build:

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/HjcR9W (is it worth it to bug a Ryzen 5 1600x?)

Total (8 / 8 Items):

Another option is to buy a prebuild, I know alot of you don't like them but you get a little bit more bang for your bug.

Also I have nerver build a pc before. And i have no way to troubleshoot part by part if it doesn't work.

Can you let me know your thought on this? Thank you verry much!

There are other options for 16GBS of ram on PC Partpicker that will help you save around $40, other than that this build looks good to me. I don't know much about Ryzen and only intel CPU's so someone else might be able to determine if there are any better options. xD

But it will last a bit longerwith 16gb no?

Looks like a reasonably balanced system, I would throw in a more quiet CPU cooler myself, and maybe a couple of case fans.

If it's worth it or not depends on what you expect from it and want to do with the system. It will handle any game in 1080p or 1440p just fine as well as things like photo and video editing. It should last you a couple of years without any issue, maybe with a GPU upgrade somewhere down the line.

Does you mum know you're here?

Thanks! do you know anything about the 1600 or the 1600x?

1080p gaming

It's a nicely balanced system, the Ryzen 1600 is a good chip, the 1600x is the same chip but clocked a little higher, something you could achieve by overclocking the 1600. I'd say stick with 16GB of RAM but find a cheaper set since games require around 8GB now.

Probably more power than you need right now, for 1080p gaming, but should be future proof and if it's within your budget I'd say go for it.

The 1600X offers barely any benefits over the 1600, I don't think it's worth the extra money.

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/c8rcCJ/geil-memory-gpr416gb2400c16dc That's also in CAD, I don't know if you are in the US or not.

Ryzen benefits from faster ram though, so paying the extra for fast ram is worth it.

yes i think so

I would use this RAM since over 3000mhz isnt really worth it with Ryzen from what I have seen. Its about a 10 euro difference so the choice is really up to you.

The only thing I would change would be the 1060, for a RX 580.

I have a Red Devil 580 and this thing flies. Can overclock easily to 1490Mhz+

Do you think it is worth it? It is a lot more money, will it get that much better performance? And is the 1060 overclockable? Don't think that i would need the overclock but I would like to try it

Stick with 3200MHz.

As for the cpu the R5 1600 is better value as it has a decent stock cooler.

Also I would go with the XFX XTR as it has hybrid fan mode. It is based on the Seasonic G and made by Seasonic as well.
