Case fans not working right

I have a Cooler Master Cosmos SE case and I was planning on using the 4 fans that came with it (2 on the front as intakes, and 2 on the top and back as exhausts). But I ran in to some issues that I haven't been able to fix: when plugging in the fans to the pins on the motherboard, the system would start for a second and then immediately power down, which is remedied by simply not connecting the fans (although that's not ideal), and the other issue is that the front 2 fans with blue LEDs would simply not spin once I turn it on, the blue lights would stay on and nothing more, while the two exhaust fans without any fancy lights would spin just fine. But obviously this has caused negative pressure on the inside, so I've simply reversed the fan on top to serve as an intake. I've tried mixing up the molex connectors but sometimes that makes matters worse and none of the fans spin, so no luck there. I really want to have a more stable cooling system but I haven't found a fix.

Here are all the specs:

  • i7 6700 3.4 gHz (stock fan :v)
  • MSI GTX 1060 3gb Amor OCV1
  • MSI H170A Gaming Pro Motherboard
  • 16gb G-Skills RipJaws DDR4 RAM (dual channel)
  • Adata 240gb SSD
  • WD Blue 1tb HDD
  • CoolerMaster B600 80+ Bronze PSU (600 watt)
  • Cooler Master Cosmos SE E-ATX case
  • OS: Win 10 Pro 64 bit
  • BIOS version: E7978IMS.280

P.S. I'm wasn't very familiar with molex connectors when I built my rig and had trouble connecting them so maybe the problem lies there but I don't know.

Have you connected all the molex fans into each other? If the fans are connected to the motherboard and molex (both at the same time) this would cause a power surge to the fans na preventing them from working. Make sure that they are either connected to molex or the header on the motherboard. If they are connected to both it will be receiving the 12 volts from the molex connection and how ever many the motherboard is putting out to spin them.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Ok, really sorry for replying so late, but I hadn't taken into account the molex connectors were adapters for normal 3 pin ones and the 3 pin I was plugging in was a weird one coming from the power supply apparently. So now I tried connecting the front two fans in 3 ways (one molex and one 3 pin, both 3 pin and both molex) but none would start spinning up. I kinda gave up and removed those fans altogether and moved the top fan to the front as an intake so it could bring in fresh air. So far it's working better than before, although they do ramp up and down erratically when the system's under load. I'll be looking to get better fans in the near future, but for now it seems to be running just fine.
