Hi just curious how powerful this system is (what games can it run at reasonable fps and graphics):

- Intel Core i5 5600

- GTX 1050 TI

- 8GB DDR4 RAM

P.S How future proof is it?

I estimate:

  • 2-3 years of latest releases on high-med settings.
  • Then 2 years med-low settings for latest releases.
  • After that, everything might be low but your PC should still be OK for 1-2 years before you really need to upgrade.

All for 1080p - settings would be lower at higher resolutions.

Remember you should be running Windows 10, Windows 7 support ends in 2019.

I think it's supposed to be "i5 6500"?

If that's the case, then this PC can last a long time in esports titles like CS:GO, DOTA 2 etc with max settings. Future ones (3 years, as far as I can estimate) will run fine too.

Older games like GTA 5 and fallout 4, it can still run 1080p 60Hz ultra no problem.

I'll use Watch Dogs 2 as the example for "demanding games". Anything that can run this game well can run anything else well. At 1080p very high settings, it will get around 35FPS when casually running around, dipping below 30FPS in gun fights. 1080p medium and it still won't reach 60 fps.

I'd say for demanding games, this system can only last for another year. However, upgrade 1050ti to 1060 6gb or equivalent should help it reach 2-3 years.
