The gigabyte windforce 3x is not a 3 slot card, only the Asus DCUII .

Evga is a few degrees hotter but all the air goes out the back.

The DirectCU cooler being a 3-slot card, runs very cool and very quiet. The WFx3 is probably the best 2 slot cooler. Personally, i am a big fan of the Twin Frozr coolers, although they are not as great as the WFx3 and DCU coolers, i find it to perform great, whilst looking pretty damn good :)

EVGA's cards (almost) all run on a blower style fan, these are both hotter and more noisy, but does have the advantage of not expelling hot air into your case. As long as you have decent airflow, this should not be a concern.

Yeah i like the twin frozer cooler alot had alot of msi no problems etc guess its all the same with alot of electronics its your luck thou

MSI twinfrozr 680 is amazing. and is one of the cheaper one. (gigabyte one being the cheapest here in sweden)

so go figure.
