Need help pls

Intel (R) 82579(V) Gigabit Network Connection

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

 

Anything i can do?

 

Update: Did a clean install of windows but it didn't do anything. When i try to update the drivers from device manager I either get a notification saying the best drivers have been installed or that the update was unsuccessful due to the device not being able to start.

go to device manager and uninstall the device. Reboot and it will be reinstalled. That should fix it, but I have seen cases where it does not.

Unfortunately, this did not fix the problem

If you have not done any teaming or other configuration you may just have a faulty device. Have you tried the latest PROSet, 22.4.0.1?

I downloaded it and i am not sure what to do with it lol

no "lol" needed, you just need to click on it to run the PROSet driver to install the latest for the LAN<-----this is assuming that your LAN adapter is compatible with this driver which it is as i have the same LAN chipset on my V-PRO MOBO, but you must DL the one for your OS and no other.

 

If all goes correctly then you will see the network and sharing center icon given it is Windows7/8/8.1/10 show a connection and if this is the real problem then it will just work.

Did you have lightning storms or power surges of any kind before this issue started?...the connection could be just dead, you can get a PCIe alternative though.

no lightning storms or power surges. I believe the connection is dead. Will look into the PCIe alternatives. TY FOR EVERYTHING!
