Build for 3D rendering

Hello guys, I am not that good with specs, and I am trying to buy a GCard for my 3D rendering machine. I am choosing between GTX1050ti or R9 390 DDC2. Which one should I get? Or any GPUs to recommend for high 3D rendering for 3Dmax AutoCad etc., The CPU is i7 4790K 16GB Corsair Vengeance Ram/will be added/. Gigabyte Z97X motherboard. Thank you.

980ti. They are cheap and have a lot of cuda cores

What are you going to run on it, if models get a little complex, or do contain multiple sources, on a cheap old 4 core CPU? What you need to do, rendering?  You can run up to 3 cards on your Z board, if you need any GPU computing...

 

Guess you better just stick to the GPU what you run now, some tasks are getting to slow, ask later!!!! what tast can't you run, or need speeding up,  is the question you need to ask!

 

 

I see you got an 144Hz VS 4K monitor, cheap TV?,  you need 1080Ti to play games, not for Autodesk! just GPU power you need, can you find a Xeon for that socket too? guess you need lots of CPU power too! not some cheap old gamers CPU! Stick to the GPU you own now!!!!!

The system is for my office, They have already bought the tower except GPU, So i was wandering that GPU to go with it. It is rendering 3D images from 3Dmax and AutoCad all day long and run projects.The monitor they are working on is an ordinary 1080p something. They just wanted me to check things out, If you would suggest, What specs should I get for 3D rendering machine?

That PC does have very low specs for a rendering machine, non complex source files will do, a lot of CPU power is needed for Autodesk, monitor is not a thing, only for gamers need fast screens and low input lag. guess you need to find out what is it they need to do, and on what quality, rendering....?? if you do some simple road planning on it, it takes a day on high res images on a GTX card, who know what they do on it?
