Drive Wipe for SSDs?

So, I'm using a program that came with my SSD and it won't let me secure erase my SSD. I'm looking to wipe my SSD using other methods, any ideas?

I don't think it has an option for SSDs though

It erases pretty much anything, regardless if it's hdd or ssd.

While it's true that currently Dban doesn't have the secure option for SSDs, it still wipes data off of your drive. I've used it on multiple ssds, and tried to recover the data after with no success. Once it's gone, it's gone.

The disadvantage to using dban is that it's slower than a program that can secure erase it.

Anyway if you're paranoid about dban not properly erasing your data, then try PartedMagic.

However, if the drive is still usable, it's quite wasteful.

Diskpart is my preferred method. Just run once or twice and you're golden.

It'll take about [two] hours to complete as it zeroes every bit on the drive.

 

Sidenote: Apparently spellcheck doesn't check verb or noun spelling differences for "zero"...

Isn't the proper format supposed to be "two" instead of "2" in that case? I was told something about 10 or under.

Spellcheck is telling me that "zeroes" is incorrect spelling, but that only applies to the noun "zero" whereas I'm using "zero" as a verb. 

 

And yes, in transcription, you always write numbers lower than 10 as they are until you achieve numbers that are reducible, i.e. two million dollars and one cent rather than $2,000,000.01 while $2,123,456.78 is better than [insert text here].
