Oh, like evn if u lower everything u still get 350? On your 1080TI - thats similar to my case but the fps cap is higher or something, I guess you're right. And thanks

Pardon my laptop stupidity, but is there any reason why turbo boost would be disabled to begin with?

Even if boosting is enabled, it's still going to be limited to whatever thermal and power headroom are available. And both of those tend to be limited in a laptop, so it may not boost much. For the same reasons, overclocking (if it's even possible) may not get you very far either.

Well, standard clock speed for the 7700HQ is 2.8 GHz and it says that it can turbo boost up to 3.8 GHz on a single core or 3.6 (or so) GHz on 2 cores. They wouldnt say that in marketing if turbo boosting was disabled. I guess you're right on the second point, but the cooling on the device is beyond good... Thanks alot

yeah but still :P it is technically a mobile chip that you could put into a laptop but nothing would be able to cool it in a thin form factor

Well if you put it ina laptop, the laptop would then be called a mobile workstation... Disregarding laptops with that chip, the 7700HQ is best u could get

but I can understand your pain, i hope it doesnt hurt too much when i say my friend runs cs at the same frames on an i3 4170 and a 750ti :P

Hahahaha well like I said those frames are what ud expect from the hardware but they should increase when u drop the setting to low and resolution too but that didnt happen :/// so basically, this laptop should get more theoretically

You may be hitting a single core performance bottleneck. Source is an old engine and probably relies heavily on single core performance. Considering how easy-peasy it is to run Source, you may be hitting the FPS cap of the CPU no matter what you do. See:

That may be the case yes, thanks alot and I will be checking the guide you provided
