bf1 issues

I have played bf1 since launch and never had too many issues with it. There was some lag and stutter, but never anything too serious, but now the game is near unplayable on every map, all settings, etc. Is this because of a jenk update or what?

Open up MSI Afterburner's OSD and see what component is acting up. Make sure that you show each CPU core's usage.

And the GPU? RAM? Pagefile? 

 

All I can tell you from that is that your CPU is working as hard as it can. And that diagnosis isn't complete nor good to any stretch of the imagination as it's the only thing I've been shown.

Besides the CPU everything is running stable, no strange dips or anything, and my PC runs all other gmes perfectly fine

Are you running V-Sync? If you aren't, use it and test again.

Im using adaptive vsync through the control panel which is the only thing keeping the game semi-playable. The ingame vsync gives me insane input lag and lag in general, and no vsync gives horrible lag even with over 60fps

What's the usage on the 970? Is it capped out at 100%?

no it doesnt cap out its around 80-90% or smthn but id have to play another game to be 100% accurate about it

Seems like upping the CPU frequency will help you out and you can try increasing detail or scaling for the GPU.

Overclocking is relatively easy and it'll buy you some time if you want to buy a 4790K.

i wont be buying a new cpu until i absolutely have to cause im broke, but I just dont want to OC because the cpu already runs hot as fuck + i dont want to break it

Then I would start increasing the resolution scaling in the game so that the GPU is working harder.

Thanks for the help. Ive tried messing with the scaling alot already though and it only makes me lag even harder. I have undoubtedly more hours trying to fix this moneygrab of a game than actually playing it so I guess Im gonna uninstall

What are your CPU temps? You can safely go to 85C. Open another topic for help with overclocking or take a look at some of the forum guides that are already available.

they hit like 65 max while playing bf1, ill try it one of these days i guess but alot of places ive read say that there is just issues between haswell CPUs/i5/i3 CPUs and Bf1 in general for whatever reason

It likes threads and frequency equally as much. I'd get the i7-4770K if this isn't the only game you play that would benefit.
