The i5 7500 might be a tiny bit faster at games without overclocking the 1500X, but if overclocked the 1500X would be in the margin of error for performance, really the 1500X is a better option for everything else however Ryzen still has a couple of teething problems, so either is a good choice but smart money's on the 1500X
