So, im very very new to home audio, and im building a home theater soon, and im gonna need multiple power amps, is there any way to be able to control all the volume knobs at once? or would i still control that from the volume knob on my 11.2 receiver even though its using the pre-outs?

Is this for your car to annoy your neighbors?

You will be able to use the volume knob on your receiver when using pre-outs. The receiver will act like a pre/processor or pre-amplifier. Amplifiers don't typically have a volume adjustment. Maybe a sensitivity switch, but those aren't common either.

Ha... yeah music is usually two channel, but you can use built-in DSP to route the signal to the other speakers. I listen to multi-channel output all the time. It sounds good!
