4 monitors right now.

Full custom loop for gpu and cpu

I9 7980

Rampage vi extreme

64gb ddr4

Gtx 1080

Nvs 510 for more monitors

Thermaltake Tower 900

Hardline cooling

Rgb fans and strips???

 

Any thoughts on the case and any sugestions for lighting?

 

Should I grab a second 1080 for 8 monitors non sli?

Go for it if that's what your set on. Looks fine, just keep in mind that Hardline tubing is a bitch to do.

 

Edit: Since you're looking for an i9 and a lot of goodies, maybe upgrade that 1080 to SLI 1080s since you already have a waterblock on it i'm assuming. If not, maybe upgrade to a 1080ti to match your i9 a bit better. Grabbing a 1080ti would cost more though and you would also need a new waterblock

Purpose of PC? It would be a good idea to wait for thread ripper if possible, though I suspect you dont really care much for value if getting the 7980.

If you have a 3k budget get a better cpu the i9 is slow compared to 2 or 4 xeons.

Imo at that budget you should up to a 1080ti over a regular 1080.
