It's a much better idea to sell the laptop and get another one than to invest 450 in the cheapestoption

dude calm the blatant razer hate

It's note hate Razer products and especially there customer support is complete crap.Any Razer product is likely to die right out of it's warranty period and customer support dosen't really care about you.On top of that Razer laptops in general throttle like crazy.OP would be much better off just getting another laptop with a better GPU then investing more money in razer

in my experience their support ha always responded fast and have helped me out with any issues and i've had a keyboard and mouse from them for over 6 years now. everey ones had a bad experience with a company you just need to make sure to look at a wider perspective

lots of core alternatives.

lowest price to highest here

- Akitio Node

- Sonnet Breakaway Box (Used by Apple in their eGPU dev kit)

- HP Omen Accelerator (coming Q3)

- Akitio Node Pro (also coming Q3)

- PowerColor Devil Box

- Mantiz Venus

also for $100 more in USD than the core you can get the AORUS 1070 box, which is cool as fuck

So i recently got myself a Razer Blade Stealth

You should get rid of that if you want to eGPU. That thing is basically bottleneck galore with anything.

Good quad cores with tb3 would be things like the Dell 5480.
