is windows 7 supported on this ? many people said its not ? i dont want 8 or 10 i want 7. so is 7 supported on this ?

You can install but Microsoft said that you'll be blocked from Windows updates which means you will be vulnerable to the wanacry and other ransomware attack. Also windows 7 surport ends in January 2020. Not really worth the risk

No. Windows 10 is required to get support. Your CPU is too new.

Windows 7 will install and work, but updates are disabled.

on my main hdd i have windows 10, its the seccondary hdd. i need to use a app which only supports win 7. i need win 7 working on this pc.

Just try windows 10. It is not that bad as you think. And trust me your pc will be faster. Why would you spend all your money on good Hardware and then go with a slow OS ?
Win 10 is way faster than Win 7 in pretty much every aspect.

i love win 10. i have it. i also need 7 forr some reasons

Just for reference purposes, that's for Skylake and above/beyond, right?

You can still install the updates, you just have to do a bit of work. Like installing updates through wsus. In addition, there are a few programs that allow you to update as well, though they are not officially supported by Microsoft. It is far safer to install them manually as you are only updating what you need, as opposed to updates for features windows 7 may not have.

You can read more about the install tool below if that is the route you choose.

Windows 10 only for Kaby Lake and beyond, same story with AMD. Ryzen needs Windows 10.

Skylake will work under Windows 7 (Microsoft/Intel initially said Win10 only, but reverted), but you won't have all CPU features working under it, mainly the faster response time of the power state switching between idle and load.

As far as I understand, Windows 7 will install from an ISO as usual. But once it's up and running your system will be blocked from installing updates. I expect you can probably use Rufus if you want.

Basically, this is because it is an arbitrary limitation. Microsoft can't actually stop Windows 7 from working on your system, but they can stop you from using Windows Update.
