Ok, so me and my friends got bored and decided to take a trip down memory  lane by playing some modded minecraft. I am running the server, but normally I do it on Wi-Fi. I understand that with wifi you need a static ip and then you can port forward, but how does port forwarding work with Ethernet?

The static IP has to be the same as on the host PC, so if you are connected through some other PC then that IP is the one you need to use if your PC is the host then you use your current IP. By host i mean of the network and not the game, also i assuem you know that you will need the ports both TCP&UDP as well as set up port triggering.
