I need some help here i got a new psu for my acer motherboard and it had a weird 12 pin power connector on the board psu didnt have one and i tried using 2 6 pins and i think i fried the board does anyone know if i did or not and if i did how do i go about fixing this i got a new one but i want to use it until the new one comes in.

It's really hard to say. I've fried a few motherboards and weird stuff happens. The last one took out the CPU, 3 out of 4 sticks of RAM(never figured that one out), and one of 2 GPU's. I've had other "accidents" where only the motherboard died, but CPU and all other components survived. I think it depends on what path the electricity takes before it's stopped by something, or finds a ground. Good luck.

        #2(complex) "Obviously there was a flaw in the material, probably due to the inadvertent introduction of contaminants during the manufacturing process."
