So as part of me wanting to play all games no matter what on original hardware I am building a Windows XP Era Gaming PC which will be balls to the wall (Well for a Windows XP PC Anyway).

Planned Specs:

Quad Core CPU (Probs a Q6600 Core 2 Quad or a AMD Phenom X4)

4GBs of ram (Max for 32bit OS)

Would like SLI Support but not 100% needed!

Small SSD for OS Install (32GB/64GB)

Largeish Hard Drive for Games (250/500GB)

700w PSU for Single GPU or 900/1000w for SLI if I go for that option.

Already Owned:

nVidia GeForce GTX 285 1GB

40GB SATA Hard Drive (May upgrade this as too small).

What would you recommend? Anything I've missed?

Main Machine:  16 inch MacBook Pro (2021), Apple M1 Pro (10 CPU, 16 GPU Core), 512GB SDD, 16GB RAM

Gaming Machine:  Acer Nitro 5, Core i7 10750H, RTX 3060 (L) 6GB, 1TB SSD (Boot), 2TB SSD (Storage), 32GB DDR4 RAM

Other Tech: iPhone 15 Pro Max, Series 6 Apple Watch (LTE), AirPods Max, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PS3, Xbox 360

Network Gear:  TP Link Gigabit 24 Port Switch, TP-Link Deco M4 Mesh Wi-Fi, M1 MacMini File & Media Server with 8TB of RAID 1 Storage

Why the 700w/900/1000w? If they're old cards they dont need too much power do they xdxd

The GTX 285 uses around 210w of power by itself and nVidia recomends a minimum 550w PSU as I will be using a Quad Core.

You'll be glad to know Windows XP was released in a 64-bit variant.

Could probably find an ISO online somewhere or maybe see if someone is selling a copy on EBay.

I am aware of the x64 edition but by all knowledge it was awful and I would like to keep compatibility with 16bit applications (Something else I'd like to use this PC for).
