Hey I am not sure if this is the proper place to post this on this forum but I had a quick question about upgrading my memory on my rig. I keep reading about new dual channel ram packs such as the Ripjaw V 8x2 and am becoming confused. I currently have a MSI b250 PC Mate and I want to know if G.SKILL Ripjaw V Series 16GB 288-pin DDR4 ram will be compatible. The only thing I am confused about is if the RAMs chip set (in this case being Z170 / X99) has to match my B250 even if it has the same number of pins and supports the correct type of RAM. Here are the newegg URLs for the two pieces if it helps. I just don't want to purchase the RAM if it wont function correctly. Thank you. I am sure this is a very simple question (perhaps trivial) but I digress.
